Chairman of the Board of Directors and Executive Director

Ognian Donev was born on December 22nd, 1957. He studied in Hamburg, Vienna, and graduated in "International Economic Relations" in Sofia University of Economics.

Mr. Donev obtained a Doctor's degree in Economics in 1986 in Berlin.

Ognian Donev is a Chairman and Managing director of "Sopharma " PLC. He also is:

Chairman of the board of the Confederation of Employers and Industrialists  in Bulgaria                
a Vice-president of the German-Bulgarian Industrial and Commercial Chamber
Chairman of ICC Bulgaria
Member of the board of Europharm SMC (the European knowledge platform for small and medium-sized pharmaceutical companies)
Chairman of Bulgarian Generic Pharmaceutical Association (BGPharmA)
Member of the managing committee of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry
Member of Bulgarian National Corporate Governance Commission
Awarded the Prize "Atanas Burov" for Industrial Management
Member of the Board of Trustee of University of National and World Economy
Chairman of the Board of Trustee of Medical University Sofia.

Mr. Donev is fluent in German, English, Russian and Italian.

He is married with two sons.

Deputy-chairman of the Board of Directors

Vessela Stoeva is born on April 5, 1963 and completes her high school degree in the French Language School "G. Kirkov" in Sofia in 1982. Afterwards she continues and competes her higher education in the Economic University in Sofia – she receives her degree in "Finance and credit" 1989.

She is at Sopharma AD since 2000 as an economic advisor to the CEO and Deputy-chairman of the Board of directors.

Her professional experience includes different fields as trade with metals in Rudmetal, Bulgartabakholding AD etc. Mrs. Stoeva is also Deputy-chairman of the Board of Directors of Elpharma AD.


She speaks fluently French, English and Italian.
She is married and has two children.


Александър ЧаушевAlexandar Victorov Tchaouchev
Member of the Board of Directors

Alexander Chaushev was born on April 24, 1965. In 1984 he graduated from the English Language School in Sofia and later in 1991 completed his higher education at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations.

Mr. Chaushev was elected as a member of the Board of Directors of "Sopharma" AD on the General Meeting of shareholders held on June 29, 2011.

Mr. Chaushev's professional experience includes membership in the governing bodies of several successful companies, including "Monbat" AD, "Agrohold" AD, "Lukoil Bulgaria" Ltd., etc. His career begins at the Ministry of Commerce as an expert in 1993.



He speaks Russian, English and Spanish.


Ognian Kirilov Palaveev"Unipharm" AD represented by

Ognian Palaveev is born on 22.05.1949 in Sofia.

Mr. Palaveev completed his economic education in Germany and has over 35 years of experience in the fields of economics and trade.

In the last 10 years he has been an executive director of Unipharm AD and for more than 8 years he is member of the Board of Directors of Sopharma AD and Rostbalkanpharm, Russia. He is also a Chairman of the Organization of the Bulgarian Pharmaceutical Producers.





He speaks German and Russian.
Mr. Palaveev is married and has two children.


Andrey Liudmilov BreshkovAndrey Liudmilov Breshkov
Member of the Board of Directors

Andrey Breshkov is born on 19.10.1971 in Plovdiv. He completes his education in "Economics and Management of the Defense System" in the Economic University in Sofia. In 2004 receives his Master degree from the American University in Bulgaria.

From 1994 to 2000 Mr. Breshkov works at "Bulgaria" insurance company. From 2001 to 2005 works in the Ministry and Economics and then in the Ministry of Transportation and deals with the management and control of state owned companies.

He takes part in the management of companies as Kremikovtzi AD, Bulgaria Air AD etc. Since 2006 he works in the financial sector and takes part in the management of "Expat Properties" REIT "Expat Beta" REIT.



He speaks Russian and English.
Mr. Breshkov is married and has two children.
